Last night the Texas Rangers fell to the Oakland Athletics 4-2, and all 6 runs were scored in the 6th inning. Rangers’ Yu Darvish got the loss and is now 1-2 on this young season. However, Darvish’s ERA against the A’s increased to 4.59, and his ERA against the rest of the league is 3.11. Darvish’s overall record against the A’s fell to 3-11. I think it’s safe to say that seeing the A’s on the schedule isn’t something that Darvish is currently looking forward to.

Andrew Triggs

The A’s sent Andrew Triggs to the mound, and he didn’t disappoint. Triggs held the Rangers scoreless, and extended his streak of not allowing an earned run to 17.2 consecutive innings. Which happens to be the longest streak by a starting pitcher in Oakland history (previous: 16.0 by Matt Keough in 1980 and Mike Norris in 1975). Triggs also beame the first A’s pitcher to win each of his first three starts of the season since Tommy Milone in 2013.
