Dodgers Send Rich Hill Back to the DL with Everlasting Blister

Dodgers: Rich Hill

The Los Angeles Dodgers, are off to an even .500 start thus far. They’re currently sitting at 7-7, and in 3rd place in the NL West. At this point they’re not looking like the World Series contenders that manager Dave Roberts says they are, however this is just a sample size of the 2017 season. I’m sure when it’s all said and done, the Dodgers will be near the top of the NL West.

With that said, the Dodgers thought they were getting healthy when they activated starting pitching Rich Hill from the DL with his blister. That excitement to have Hill back was short-lived. Hill, 37, was forced to exit the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks before the start of the 4th inning due to his blister resurfacing. Hill allowed two runs, 5 hits and only 3 innings pitched. He’s currently 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA in his two starts in 2017. The Dodgers have since placed Hill back on the disabled list, and recalled infielder/outfielder Rob Segedin from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
