Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Jung Ho Kang had his suspended sentence upheld by South Korean court. This is Kang’s 3rd DUI as he was previously fined in 2009 and 2011 for drunk driving related charges. In this last incident, Kang ran his rented BMW into a guardrail and fled the scene back to his hotel.
Kang hasn’t been granted a visa to allow him to play baseball in the United States. Kang has missed all of the season thus far, and it doesn’t look like he’ll make any part of the 2017 season.
