The Seattle Mariners announced Tuesday, second baseman Robinson Cano has been placed on the Disabled List with a strained right quad. This move is retroactive to May 13th, and this is only the 2nd time he’s been on the DL in his career. The last time was in 2006, which shows the 34-year-old’s durability throughout his career. Cano is eligible to come off the DL on May 23rd.
Cano is hitting .296 with 8 homers and 28 RBI in 34 games thus far.
