Ten MLB Qualifying Offers On The Table

MLB Free Agent Bats

Yesterday, ten players received a qualifying offer for 1-year, $17.2M. These offers had to be submitted yesterday by 5pm. This means that these ten players now have 1-week to decide if they want to accept the 1-year $17.2M deal, or if they’re just going to stay in the free agent market.

If the player decides to accept the qualifying offer, he’ll then return to his team on a 1-year deal for $17.2M in 2017. If he declines the offer, he’ll be able to sign elsewhere and the team will receive a compensatory draft pick at the end of the first round.
